Our Core Values

Bible-based  (2Timothy 3:16; 2Peter 1:20; John:7:38)

We have an unyielding commitment to the authority and sufficiency of the Bible.  It is the final and complete revelation for teaching and instruction on life, living, and what it means to follow God.

Following Jesus’ Way  (Hebrews:12:2; John:1:1; John:14:6)

The first followers of Jesus came from diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds, with differing values and ideas.  Even so, they chose to lay aside their agendas and submit themselves in obedience to Christ’s teaching, His authority, His agenda, and His values.

Authentic Spirituality (Acts:15:22-35; Psalm:63:1; Matthew:6:6-8)

We are committed to knowing God, not playing church.  We believe the Christian life is a holistic life of honesty with one another and God.  We do not make a distinction between our “public” lives and our “private” lives.  We will be honest about our weaknesses and failures, as well as celebrate our victories and joys with one another.

Community (Acts:2:42-47; Acts:11:20; Ephesians:4:1-16; Isaiah:57:15; Psalm:51:6)

We love because Christ first loved us.  We are all sinners, but we are a people longing for a clean start. Therefore, we commit ourselves to being a humble and contrite community of faith, driven by grace.  We commit to support each other through trials, celebrate our greatest joys together, and encourage each other to live the truths we are learning together .

Serving (Acts:13:1-3; Acts:1:8; John:4:34-36, Philippians 2:5)

We believe that the Gospel is not simply a message on paper, but a calling in which we participate.  We believe our mission is expressed in Jesus’ words to the disciples, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you" and we endeavor to put that calling above our own comfort and desires.  We will avoid a consumer approach to church and strive to be active participants in God’s grand story of redemption; we, therefore, commit ourselves to loving service in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, places we play, and around the world.
